Salome

Written by Wayne Shaw on . Posted in OnStage Gallery

Written by Oscar Wilde // Adapted by Fred Uebele

This rarely produced work was banned in Wilde’s time and did not play in England until the 30s.

Fred Uebele adapted the lyrical language of Wilde while cutting the script to a shorter more pointed time. Salome tells the story of King Herod, John the Baptist and Salome’s dance and her reward.
